PEACOCK Lane & Broiled Shrimp LOL

Our Favorite Costume created by Jody Sorey

WOW-LOVE THAT Purple!!! Love how Jody used the decorative die cut paper!! She used as a border & 1/4's on the corners-really cool & great way to get a ton of use from that die cut sheet.

Ok, another GOOD thing about the empty nest . . . we always have leftovers so I only had to cook 2 times this week LOL. Don't get me wrong, I'm missing my boys terribly & when they grace our door, we follow them around like little puppies :) BUT, I'm trying to look on the bright side . . . This little recipe is an original family dish so they asked for doggie bags LOL & my friends have named it "Tammy's Broiled Shrimp". Shhh, I felt so guilty cooking this & not inviting my friends-its kinda customary that IF i cook it, they are invited. LOL

2 lb. shrimp (peels on)
1 cup butter (the real stuff)
1 cup olive oil
Vegetables (1 lemon & 1 onion sliced (not diced), 4 garlic pods)
Seasonings (worcheshire sauce, salt, pepper, bay leaves, basil, oregano, tarragon, parsley, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, parmesan cheese)
If you have a black iron skillet-works best-if not-broiling pan.

Prepare marinanade in separate saucepan (Melt butter, add olive oil & vegetables & seasonings);
Add shrimp to black iron skillet or broiling pan, pour marinade on top; Refrigerate and maranade at least 1 hour (4 is MUCH better). Put under broiler for 20 minutes, turning 2 times during this period. Serve with healthy green salad (because this dish is not fat free LOL) and plenty of French bread because the sauce is DELICIOUS!!!! Oh, and if you have a lot of hungry boys-boil some angel hair pasta to fill them up.

OK, so CCL registration began yesterday & i was on the computer a good bit with that so i had to rush the recipe-no time to marinade-still good-but WOW-that 4 hours marinade makes a HUGE difference!!

SO, now that you have saved all that cash & time NOT going to the restaurant because this meal will definitely make you feel like you paid a lot of money, go CROP and have some fun!!!
