Monday Memory Maniac CHALLENGE

Ok, you're going to think "This CHIC has lost ALL of her marbles"!!!! Ok, here goes, read below on how you can WIN a $50 shopping spree at Memory Mania!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may not know how important you are to everyone in your family, but I say to you, you are THE most important person to them and to us!!!! YOU must take care of YOU because you know you're the only one that will. And THEY need YOU, so do this for your family. And another great reason, if that didn't do it for you, your blood will be pumping so fast, reward yourself afterwards with a few minutes of cropping. I know you have a big HEART because you are a scrapper and we create art from our HEARTS, so make this a daily gift to yourself to protect your heart (you get bonus points if you do it 3 times throughout the day).

Here's what you will need:
Tennis shoes, 10 minutes, (Make it more fun with recording of "Cupid Shuffle" and 2 other of your favorite tunes) and a clock nearby: The beat of any song won't work exactly perfect because you are changing tempos quickly, but be CREATIVE, swing your hips or step higher with your knees-i do all of this in place; so wake up 10 minutes early & try this; lock your door at work at lunch & do it & 10 min right before you leave work or while you're cooking. Think I'm nuts yet.

Do each step for 1 minute each;
1. warmup/walk in place
2. Moderate-pace walk
3. BRISK Walk
4. Fast, hard walk/pump arms
5. Fast, hard walk/pump arms
6. Moderate-pace walk
7. BRISK Walk
8. Fast, hard walk/pump arms
9. Fast, hard walk/pump arms
10. slowly cool down

Believe it or not, its better than a 30 minute workout, on Jan 15th, give me an update. Please post daily if you were able to fit this in & if so how many times did you sneak it in? I will have a drawing at end of January. Your daily post is your entry-enter as many times as you like. If you do it 3 times each day & post that-you are entered 3 times. The PRIZE is a $50 shopping spree at Memory Mania!!!!!!!! Don't miss out!!!!!

Please post or email me any questions, I do this every day -4 times a day so I'm happy to help & want to share how great it feels!!!!!!

P.S. This activity is from Chris Freytag of PREVENTION.

Happy Scrappin & Walkin'
Hugs
Tammy

WOW!!! I just did my first set!!! I feel GREAT!!!

I like this because it's not so boring! It's broken down by 1 minute intervals to keep it interesting enough to keep me motivated!

Thanks for sharing!!! I will definitely try to keep this up!!

Shame on me!! I haven't done this every day--once yesterday; once so far today. I will try to do this twice daily. After a couple of weeks, I'll increase it to 3 times a day.

How about the rest of you ladies?

P.S. If I keep this up, I might have to take some 10 minute breaks during CCL!!

I just finished my 10 minute trainer for the morning. It is very similar to Tammy's 10 minute routine. A different move for each minute. My husband joins me, so we make sure that we don't miss. We started serious a couple weeks ago. It is GREAT!! Thanks for motivating us, Tammy!

OMG!!! I just did this twice on the treadmill. What a workout! It is more fun than the normal walking. I think I will do it this way three times a week and just my normal walking for two days.

This is addictive. I just finished my morning 10 minutes!

Now where is everyone else?

KUDOS to all of you for giving it a try, SPILL Jackie, tell us what you do for the 10 minutes, i can't wait to hear & TRY it.

I have 3 different routines, but here is the basic cardio:
1. jog or march in place (1 minute)
2. charlston kick (30 seconds on each leg)
3. push ups (30 seconds wide spread arms and 30 seconds next to chest) on my knees of course
4. lunges (30 seconds on each leg)
5. run/jog around the room in a circle (30 seconds each direction)
6. hop squats (do 4 squats with a hop after each and then jog 4 times and repeat for 1 minute)
7. side kick (30 seconds each leg, just like kick boxing)
8. tire runs (take 4 slow and wide runs foward like you are stepping in tires and then jog backwards and repeat for 1 minute)
9. hold plank position for 20 seconds, right side plank for 20 seconds, and left side plank for 20 seconds. (I can't easily describe this position in words, but if you google it you will see what I mean)
10. Raise arms straight up with blade hands above your head and circle your body in small circles from the wasit up for 30 seconds in each direction. Tighten the butt and gutt to make this simple looking movement a good exercise.

If anyone is interested in the other routines, I will happy to share.
HAVE FUN and enjoy!
