EXCITING NEWS . . . KAREN RUSSELL to teach at Memory Mania

OMG, I'm so stinkin' excited i can barely type!!!!!! I just LOVE Karen's photography!!!!!! She's incredible. You may recognize her name as she also designs scrapbook products AND she is an incredible photographer. I've been trying to get into her classes for quite a while, and finally I will-she will be at Memory Mania in November!!!!! You can click on the poster above to read important details!!!!!

Seriously, what is the most important part of scrapbooking?????? PHOTOS, of course, without them, you can't do much scrappin'. Wouldn't you love to take more creative photos? Karen teaches you how to SEE those "everyday moments" and how to document them in photos!!!!! This class is jam-packed (9 hour course) with technical, creative and personal aspects.

Registration opens Thursday, AUGUST 27th at 10am; Exact date in November to be marked later today or tomorrow (just finalizing date November 7th or November 21st).

WOW, its going to be a FABULOUS day!!!

MMU!!! Yep, that's what you'll be hearing from the studio at Memory Mania tonight!!!! MMU Pep Rally kicks off its 17th semester of awesome, incredible classes. The teachers are set up with their inspiration stations to have a little fun with the Fall 2009 students using tags, flock, Colorwash spray, masks, edges, punches and MORE!!! So if you're in the Fall 2009 class, gear up for some good clean fun tonight & See ya there!!!

Sad News . . .

Yep, its very sad . . . Dot 'n Roller Adhesive is no longer available!!!!!! I know, it has been our absolute favorite adhesive for a while and the manufacturer has taken it OFF THE MARKET with no intentions to continue later and there is no response as to why. The really bad part is that they didn't let us know until there were no refills left. We have ordered 100 dispensers which was all we could get our hands on. We do have limited refills in stock at the moment, while supplies last.

The adhesive that we now recommend is Glue Glider Pro, we will be getting more in stock over the next couple of weeks. Many of the staff had switched over to this adhesive several months ago, but i was holding out because i liked the little dispenser, but as far as the strength and hold, it is the only other adhesive i have liked.

On a happier note-Christy is steady receiving box after box after box from CHA Summer, so come check it out: Recent deliveries include: Moxxie, Reminisce, Heart of Texas LSU/Tiger/Mardi Gras Chipboard Albums, Robin's Nest, Webster Pages, SEI, AND FLEUR DE LIS JEWELRY!!!

I loved the paper in this recent Masters Kit and used some of my scraps to make 2 greeting cards: Thinking of You and Happy Birthday. I think it took me 10 minutes to complete both! Think green - put those scraps to good use!

Inspiration from BASIC GREY

You probably can't see this too well. This is a sketch/design using the Basic Grey June Bug Collection. This little secret (Basic Grey June Bug & Lemonade) has been hiding near the Louisiana section instead of the new wall, so I thought I'd share some cool designs with it. P.S. 5 days until Marah Johnson Visit!! Don't forget to get your MM Shirt (the picture doesn't show true color of tshirt is more teal). This shirt has been such a huge hit, we are on our 4th shipment of it. Girls from "off the street" have been coming in to get this shirt because they saw someone else wearing one, they don't even scrap. Anyway, show your love as we welcome Marah BACK to Louisiana on Saturday. Marah loved our zebra fleur de lis so much, she asked if she could add some "pizzazz" to it, and that she did-we love it!!!

Masterpiece Challenge

Okay, if you have received your newsletter, you may have noticed that Tammy is now including a Masterpiece sketch in each issue. I challenge you to use that sketch and create a layout. She has even laid out a list of supplies that you'll need to complete a page, so how easy can it get? To help inspire you, I have posted the layout that I completed using this sketch. I changed the layout around on the first page to fit my pictures. So come on, what are you waiting for? Get scrapping. Teachers' orders. ~Danielle
