CALENDAR OF MEMORIES

Good Morning Scrappers,

Can you believe how fast 2008 is going. Its almost time to start planning my calendars for the new year. WOW-I don't know where this year has gone. For years I have given the grandparents & sometimes friends a Calendar of Memories. In fact, I started making sure i take at least 1 photo of each person at their birthday or at least one random picture of each person to highlight this calendar. Here is a peek the one i created last year & the one featured in my Calendar of Memories Class, Saturday, November 15 10am-noon; Class is $20** and there is an additional supply fee for this class since it includes 12 12x12 layouts and an awesome Heidi Swapp Calendar. I've used so many of the calendars on the market & I promise, this is the BEST one by far. Its my favorite because your layout fits into protectors for each month, but when the month is passed you can slide the layout into your album. What a great gift idea for grandparents (I gave this calendar to my mother-in-law last Christmas, and everyone is enjoying the new layout each month. I spotlighted a person or persons for each month if their birthday or a special event falls during a specific month. For instance, Mr. Jim's birthday is in August so it includes pictures of his birthday last year or random pictures to celebrate him. September is not a birthday month for anyone in the family so i highlight first day of school pictures from previous years of the grandkids. Its fun remembering the memories each month. Of course, its hard not to keep for yourself, so you might want to recreate one for yourself too.

I hope you can join me for a morning of fun.

This is a great project. I made one last year too for my 90 year old mom for her Christmas present. I also highlighted a person in their birthday month, and I made little thumbnail prints, so all mom's important birthdays are marked with a photo of the person. I am not normally a "project" scrapper, but this is a hit!!

I made 8x8 albums for my mom & mother-in-law, but I may have to switch to something like this! This is awesome!!!
