OK, so i'll be waking up at 3am to catch a plane out of the country, so i'm posting a little early. Oh and i MUST mention how lucky i am, my hunk of a hubby is packing while i'm posting, what a sweetie, well most times, he he. Seriously though, i can't do it good enough (or less enough), so he's in charge. he he

I GOTTA SECRET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nope, I'm not telling, read the newsletter, check mailboxes this weekend. All I can tell you is soon, _____ _______ _______, we'll be laughing, cropping & having a party!!!!!!

Ok, if you haven't tried stickles yet, please come in to MM & we'll show you how cool they are!!!! I can barely finish a page these days without breaking out the stickles. With just a few drizzles here & there it sure packs a punch on a scrapbook page.

Look WHO was spotted at Memory Mania

Have you noticed the "smell" of Memory Mania??? Its so funny but its the one thing that many of our scrapbook family miss most when they move away. Its the first thing they say when they walk through the doors of MM, "Just love that smell". With all of the wonderful smells of Louisiana food and cooking, I'm honored that its the smell of MM they miss most.

Look who we saw perusing the aisles at Memory Mania last week? All the way from North Carolina & Mississippi, Jody & Becky were spotted in their "LOCAL" scrapbook store & what a treat it was!!!!!

check out Jody's newest purchase!!! It was perfect to bring all of her goodies back on the plane. She's going to send us a pic with her own scrappin' goodies & laptop in it soon. Right Jody?


This was Jody's first visit since expo, so there was lots of things that caught her eye!! She was lovin' those Banana Frog stamps & he new punches, but her favorite was that Zebra scrapbook tote!!!!


Thanks so much for the wonderful surprise & supporting your "local scrapbook store".

Then we had to head over to Rocco's to get some authentic LOUISIANA food and it was delicious!!! But not half as good as the conversation & catching up with these 2 awesome girls!!!! Just made my WEEK!!!!

Congratulations Class of 2009

Congratulations to the 2009 MMU Graduates!! They completed 18 or more classes & received their undergrad in Scrapbooking at Memory Mania University! The students above were honored with gifts, projects & loads of fun!!! They shared the wonderful things they learned during their studies & a great time was had by all!!! They created a precious photo mat for their graduation photos & Cindy Savoy won the top prize in the Auction, MMU Fall, 2009, using 105 homework bucks!!! Go girls!! We were extremely proud of the many homework bucks we saw around the table.

GREAT idea to catch up!!!

Oops- did I say catch up? Oops-i meant, get lots of pages done quickly & easily, catch up is a fantasy land. he he. I don't know about you, but sometimes looking at the tons of pictures awaiting their spotlight on my scrapbook page overwhelms me just a little. Just this week, I've got 100 photos sitting in my camera: Justin's Center Stage Showcase, 2 Mother's Day celebrations, pool pics of my nieces & nephews playing & having a blast, a random pic of the 4 of us sitting for dinner (rare since Dane moved out); NOT to mention about 200 pics from Christmas!!!! So, I've stopped & scraplifted this layout from Sandi Gautreau using my January Masters kit!!!! It dawned on me that i MUSt pass this along-these masters kits are not only an incredible value-all of the thinking, matching & shopping is already done for you, and believe me you can get at least 3 layouts per kit with still tons left over, just add cardstock for no telling how many layouts. A set of stickers from the March kit made its way onto 7 different layouts last week-WOW. ALso a great idea for oops'ing for CCL. Print the pics from the gallery or blog that you like & stick them in with your kits for easy & fast kits. Another great idea to help you get lots of pages done quickly. Create a 1 page of an event & use the Lickety Slip or Share & Tell photo pages on the opposite side to get lots of photos included; I personally prefer the Lickety Slip pages because you can transfer some of the paper on the little slip in between. Check these out.

A Closer Look

OK, so I just finished marinating all the meats & veggies and had a few minutes to spare, SO i had to share a close up of these fine letters-which are ONLY AVAILABLE through Masters Kit this month (only 2 left). Look how Jody stamped the letters in white after painting them & used cardstock to weave through the holes-LOVE IT!!!

How Scrappy is this????? Below she used the negative from the die cut as dimensional accents on the letters, also love the brown inking on these letters (i don't always think about inking as a finishing touch-and wow-it just makes the letters pop.

Have an awesome Mother's Day weekend. We have big plans on Saturday & Sunday for Mother's Day celebrations so it may be quiet on the blog end. Can't wait until church on Sunday-they always read "LOVE YOU FOREVER" my favorite book while kids were growing up-fact, i read it so much that before they could read, they read "memorized" it back to me--happy tears-such wonderful memories!!! It's a tear jerker, but very sweet.
