Round 4 FINALISTS

WOW-the judges had a really tough time with this round, there were so many entries!!!!
These 7 layout design were chosen for Round 4 based on their techniques used & alterations.
I learned so much again-pulling my sketch book & I STILL love the layouts in the book & wow-getting a few more to add to my library was awesome!!!!! So pull out your masterpiece & compare these layouts to see how you will have a new sketch.

Super Bubbles created by Darlene Quebedeaux
Sketch 86Altered: Moved title to surround circle on left side…did subtitle on right bottom circle. Moved vertical grouping to left page. Moved square grouping to right page. Moved “block of strips” to bottom left corner of right page. Added additional circles/semicircles.

Soccer created by Audrey Wascome
Sketch #86. Turned circle on left into a soccer ball and cut pictures to fit in the shapes of the ball. Used 4 pictures on the left side one 8x8 picture & 6 pictures on left, but cut to the same dimensions. For the top right circle she cut a soccer ball out of one of the photographs & used a photograph cut to size to fit inside of another circle on the lower right side with journaling.
Paper: Soccer Field" by reminisce, "SportsHeadOn" paper by Scrappin' Sports and More.
Ribbon: Soccer ribbon at store & Cricut "Varsity" cartridge; Dimensional Magic to make an epoxy sticker. I accented everything in the lime Cat eye. I

Disney created by Jennifer Marino
Sketch 87: altered photo sizes

Chunky Monkey created by Jeanna Barron
Sketch 92: Used 6 photos instead of 12 pictures & used other space to put a letter that was part of my title. I also covered chipboard letters to spell the word "Chunky".

Raindrops created by Audrey Wascome
Sketch 92: Used six photos instead of twelve, but they fit the same dimensions except for the one on the left. I made it a little larger so it looked like it was "falling" with the letters. My journaling is on the umbrella. For the Lush letter, I used the rub-ons by Studio Calico in the brown patterns and the used the Cat eyes in surf on the edge. Then I sealed all of the letters in Dimensional Magic to give it that epoxy look.
Paper: "Cats and Dogs" by Pebbles, including the flags on the sides (I cut out the different dog bones to make the flags). Letters: Thickers, Lush chipboard, Studio Calico.

La Tech created by Darlene Quebedeaux
Sketch 92: Used a flip up page & put the collages/groupings on the outside of the flip pages.
Flip it open for 2 groupings of 3x3 pics plus added other pics with the extra room. Title is repeated along the bottom as in the original sketch. Tickets from the game & ribbon were used for the pulls to open the flips. The papers came from the school section for Parkview Baptist since they were perfect colors for La Tech. Note to others: don’t be scared to pull papers from another section just because it’s grouped in a certain theme. Also by using the flip up pages & the collages, 28 pictures used on this layout.

Baby Alexander created by Francis Cole
Sketches: 86, 87 & 92
Used the right side sketch of 86 incorporated into Sketch of 92 circle & collage of Sketch 87.
